VALVES

1G3111000
THERMAL VALVE WITH FEMALE 1/8" GAS CONNECTION
(without thermofusible vial).

Automatic valve that perforates the CO2 cylinder when the thermofusible vial breaks. This version is used for assembly separate from the cylinder or for feeding more than one actuator. It is provided with a fixed union having a 1/8" gas threaded female outlet on which a union purchased on the market that is suitable for the pipe you intend to use is installed. It is shipped unarmed for safety reasons, and is to be completed with the thermofusible vial in the calibration selected.

1G3100000
THERMAL VALVE WITH DIRECT CONNECTION TO THE CYLINDER
(without thermofusible vial)

Automatic valve that perforates the CO2 cylinder when the thermofusible vial breaks. This version is used for assembly directly onto the cylinder or directly on the selector valve. It is provided with a lockable and revolving male union with 14 x 1 thread. It is shipped unarmed for safety reasons, and is to be completed with the thermofusible vial in the calibration selected.

1G3311000
SELECTOR VALVE WITH DIRECT CONNECTION TO THE CYLINDER.

Automatic valve that separates the power supply inlets. It has two inlets. One is radial female with a 14 x 1 thread that normally receives the 1G3111000 valve or another selector valve of the 1G3311000 type. The other input is axial and normally receives a compressed air line for daily ventilation or an emergency CO2 line coming from a box of cylinders.
This inlet is provided with a fixed union having a female 1/8" gas threaded outlet on which a union purchased on the market that is suitable for the pipe you intend to use is installed. This version's outlet is provided with a lockable and revolving male union with 14 x 1 thread for direct coupling to the cylinder or to another selector valve.
An internal spring selector keeps the axial inlet (on the bottom) in communication with the outlet when there is an absence of pressure from the radial inlet. The pressure on this line must be released upon completion of its use for ventilation - please contact our technical-commercial department.
By putting the line connected to the radial inlet under pressure (for example, when the thermal valve trips), the selector puts this line in communication with the outlet and, at the same time, closes the axial inlet to prevent supply fluid leaks.
The valve returns to the starting conditions when this pressure is released.

1G6501801
MANUAL 1/8" GAS VENTILATION VALVE

Pneumatic 5-way, 3-position manual operation valve with spring return to the centre position. It is provided with female 1/8" gas threaded inlets on which unions purchased from the market that are suitable for the pipes you intend to use are installed. The opening line connects to the selector valve and the closing line connects to the cylinder's revolving union. Both lines, when unused, are "unloaded" to permit automatic operation in case of fire.

ACTUATION DEVICES

1G5400000
PYROTECHNIC ACTUATOR

Pyrotechnic device similar to that used in airbags and automobile seatbelt pretensioners. Activated by the passage of electric current, it breaks the thermofusible vial that primes the cylinder opening process. The pyrotechnic actuator can be involuntarily activated by circulation of strong currents (e.g. high-voltage lines) or by lightning bolts striking nearby. The power supply lines are therefore to be kept separate from the motive force lines. Please get in touch with our technical-commercial department for more information about this subject, about electrical connections and specifications of the operational current. The pyrotechnic actuator has a useable life of ten years. It is a rule of thumb in Italy to replace pyrotechnic devices every four years.

1G53...
THERMOFUSIBLE VIAL

The same type of vial used on sprinklers. It is installed on the thermal valve after having selected the calibration temperature. It holds the perforation device in the armed position. The calibration temperature is recognisable by the colour of the liquid it contains.

REMOTE CONTROL DEVICES

1G3410000
LARGE OPENING/CLOSING BOX FOR CO2 CYLINDERS, 500 g. max.

Connected to the selector valve(s). It is an alternative to the detection trigger box in taking the plant up to the UNI 9494 standards (remember that the standard requires at least two control devices, one of which is always the thermal valve). This box is always used for emergency purposes by breaking the glass seal and manually moving a lever than perforates a CO2 cylinder.

1G600001
TRIGGER BOX

Simple and effective single-area trigger box. Up to 10 smoke or heat detectors can be connected to it. In the event of fire, it automatically controls the opening of the smoke ventilation systems. Magnetic stops, sirens or acoustic and optic horns can be interlocked to the trigger box. It must be fed with two 12V batteries that are kept charged by a dedicated circuit to guarantee its operation even in the absence of mains current. It is equipped with pilot lamps that signal interruption in the detection line, interruption of the trigger box power supply line and the alarm in progress.

1S50004

CO2 CYLINDERS

1G4...
CO2 CYLINDERS

These cylinders constitute a completely independent source of energy, and it is for this reason that it is necessary they be of excellent quality and of a calibrated charge. They are available in various sizes ranging from 20 g up to 500 g. It must be noted that liquid carbon dioxide behaves unusually at certain temperatures, so Mingardi Magnetic has cylinders in stock that are specially made for exposure to temperatures up to 70°C and higher, i.e. those that are installed on automatic valves.
